Intended purpose
For the repair of hernias and other fascial defects that require the addition of a reinforcing or bridging material to obtain the desired surgical result. Also indicated for the repair of tissue deficiencies such as those caused by trocar use.
Functional description
A flexible, partially absorbable laminate mesh device, containing non-absorbable PROLENE Soft Mesh, to reinforce traumatic or surgical wounds to provide extended support during and following wound healing, and Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose, to physically separate the mesh from the underlying tissue and organ surfaces during wound healing.
