Intended purpose

Ventralight ST Mesh is indicated for use in the reconstruction of soft tissue deficiencies in the repair of ventral, incisional and umbilical hernias. The Echo PS Positioning System is intended to be used to facilitate the delivery of the Ventralight ST Mesh during laparoscopic hernia repair.

Functional description

Ventralight ST Mesh with Echo PS Positioning System is a low profile, bioresorbable, coated, permanent mesh, with a pre-attached removable positioning system, designed for the reconstruction of soft tissue deficiencies during laparoscopic ventral hernia repair. The balloon is inflated to help facilitate laparoscopic deployment, including unrolling, positioning, and placement of the Ventralight ST Mesh. Once initial mesh fixation is complete, the Echo PS is completely removed from the body.
