Intended purpose

Ventralight™ ST Mesh is indicated for use in the reconstruction of soft tissue deficiencies in the repair of ventral, incisional, and umbilical hernias. The Echo 2™ Positioning System is intended to facilitate the delivery and positioning of the Ventralight™ ST Mesh during laparoscopic hernia repair.

Functional description

Ventralight™ ST Mesh with Echo 2™ Positioning System is a low profile, bioresorbable, coated, permanent mesh with a pre-attached removable positioning system. Ventralight™ ST Mesh is a dual-component (absorbable and nonabsorbable) sterile mesh and it facilitates laparoscopic mesh deployment and positioning. After the initial fixation is complete, the Echo 2 Positioning System frame is removed from the body.
