Intended purpose
A sterile implantable device used to supplement the acetabular component to help fill bone defects that are not fully covered by the acetabular prosthesis in hip replacement surgery. The augments are implanted with bone cement to the mating acetabular shell and without bone cement to the bone interface. Screws are used to help fix the augment to the bone.
