Trilogy and Trabecular Metal Replacement Locking Ring - Acetabular liner locking ring

Intended purpose

Indicated for primary or revision surgery in skeletally mature individuals for rehabilitating hips damaged as a result of noninflammatory degenerative joint disease (NIDJD) or its composite diagnoses of osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, protrusio acetabuli, traumatic arthritis, slipped capital epiphysis, fused hip, fracture of the pelvis, and diastrophic variant. Intended for use without bone cement in total hip arthroplasty.

Functional description

Intended for use with the Trilogy Acetabular System and Trabecular Metal modular acetabular shell/liner construction to secure the liner inside the shell. The locking mechanism prevents dislocation of the liner from the shell and allows for easy disassembly and liner replacement without component damage. If the original locking ring is damaged for any reason, the replacement locking ring is used in its place.
