Intended purpose

RM Pressfit hip system, cup TiCP Standard PE is an uncemented one-piece cup for treating diseased hip joints for primary and revision surgery.

Functional description

The RM Pressfit Cup is a cementless monoblock press-fit acetabular cup manufactured from UHMW-PE. The over-sizing at the cups equator ensures an optimal primary press-fit fixation of the implant in the acetabulum which minimises movement between the implant and the bone to promote osseointegration of the implant. The combination of an optimal stability minimised movement and osseointegration provides the mechanism for the secondary fixation.
