The S-ICD System which is intended to provide defibrillation therapy for the treatment of life-threatening ventricular tachyarrhythmias in patients who do not have symptomatic bradycardia, incessant ventricular tachycardia, or spontaneous, frequently recurring ventricular tachycardia that is reliably terminated with anti-tachycardia pacing.

This device is an accessory to the S-ICD System which includes the Q-TECH Programmer. It makes it possible for the programmer to communicate with the SQ-RX Pulse Generator device. To obtain optimal telemetry, the wand should be placed directly over the implanted SQ-RX device. The programmer’s graphic user interface (GUI) facilitates management and control of the S-ICD System and communicates wirelessly with the SQ-RX device to enable adjustment of programmable settings and data collection.
