Intended purpose

Devices are tubing connectors consisting of one or two IV spikes; they function as conduits and are designed to be inserted into fluid or blood pack type containers to allow fluid or blood to be withdrawn or transferred from the container. They enable other devices to be connected to a fluid source in an IV type pack or the connection of two of the same type containers (e.g. 2 blood packs). They are not for direct insertion into patients.
