Intended purpose
For atraumatic primary closure of minor wounds and surgical incisions (healing by first intention). For post operative care of slightly secretory wounds, as a barrier against secondary infection, for the protection of wound edges against disruption and the stabilisation of fresh scars after removal of sutures.
