Intended purpose

The Novaclips & Greyhounds (Spring Clips) are indicated for use in peripheral vascular, cardiovascular and general surgery. The Spring Clips are used for temporary occlusion of small, delicate blood vessels. They are suitable for veins and arteries, provide occlusion of atherosclerotic vessels or normal vessels and may be used over indwelling catheters. The Spring Clips may also be used for maintaining tension on fine surgical sutures during completion of vascular anastomosis. In addition, the Spring Clips may be used for temporary occlusion of the autogenous saphenous vein during coronary bypass surgery.
