Intended purpose
Purstring 45 single use instrument has application in intestinal, colorectal, esophaegeal, gastric and cardiac surgery for temporary and permanent purse-string placement.
Functional description
The Purstring 45 single use instrument places a circumferential strand of USP 2-0 SURGIDAC non absorbable braided polyester surgical suture held in place by stainless steel staples. The stainless steel staples are attached to the structure or organ where a purse-string is desired. The instrument is activated by squeezing the ring handles.
