Intended purpose
An electronically steered device used for the indirect (noninvasive) measurement of the blood pressure. It uses a self-contained program for properly functioning and automatic cuff inflation and measurement cycles. These instruments usually display current heart rate and mean arterial pressures in addition to systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
