Intended purpose

A portable, powered device designed to non-invasively measure blood pressure using a self-contained software program that regulates arm/wrist-cuff inflation and measurement cycles. It typically displays current heart rate and mean arterial pressure in addition to systolic and diastolic blood pressures. The device indicates levels of hypertension based on 1999 WHO-International Society of Hypertension Guidelines for the management of hypertension.
