Intended purpose

Medishield is intended to be placed around neural tissue following spine surgery to reduce adhesion formation and related symptoms such as pain.

Functional description

MediShield Gel is a flowable gel. The gel is a sterile, absorbable combination of Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and Polyethylene Oxide (PEO) that is stabilized with Calcium Chloride. Sodium Chloride is added for isotonicity.
