Behind-the-ear air-conduction hearing aid

Intended purpose

A device typically worn behind-the-ear or over-the-ear, designed to compensate for either hearing loss, perceived tinnitus or a combination of both, connected to a mechanism that transmits an amplified acoustic signal to the ear drum or alternatively connected to a transducer designed to conduct stimuli via bone-conduction. The device is typically programmed by a computer or other intermediary device or system and utilises certain hardware and software programs for programming and adjustment.
