Device Dossier for Gallant HF CRT-D Model CDHFA500Q - Biventricular pacemaker/defibrillator (Biventricular pacemaker/defibrillator, Class III, sponsor…
- GMDN category: Biventricular pacemaker/defibrillator
Intended purpose
To provide ventricular antitachycardia pacing, ventricular cardioversion/defibrillation and to resynchronise the right and left ventricles.
Functional description
The Gallant HF Model CDHFA500Q cardiac resynchronisation defibrillator (CRT-D) monitors and regulates a patient’s heart rate and provides treatment of ventricular arrhythmias. Incorporates the AT/AF detection algorithm indicated in patients with (or those at significant risk) of developing atrial tachyarrhythmias. As a CRT-D device, it is also indicated in certain patients with congestive heart failure. This device is MR conditional.
