Bladder volume ultrasound imaging system

Intended purpose

The VitaScan LT is a B-mode ultrasonic instrument, portable and battery operated, intended for the non-invasive measurement of urinary bladder volume. A mechanical sector scanning transducer provides cross-sectional images of the bladder from up to twenty four scan planes. Based on these images the VitaScan LT automatically calculates the estimated bladder volume in milliliters and displays it on a screen. VitaScan LT is applicable in many clinical areas to determine bladder volume, time for bladder emptying and detection of post void residual volume (PVR).
