Intended purpose
Device is intended for the intraoperative and transcutaneous evaluation of blood flow. Vascular surgeons used these probes when performing a bypass graft to verify flow in an anastomosis and to locate vessels in scar tissue. Urologists use them in a varicocele ligation to differentiate arteries from veins. Cardiovascular surgeons use these probes for CABG's to verify flow in an anastomosis and to locate the IMA in scar tissue. Laparoscopic surgeons use Doppler probes during a cholecystectomy to locate the cystic artery.
