Intended purpose

The vascular dopplers are designed to give a diagnostic evaluation of the patency for the patients blood flow, within the peripheries. An ultrasound transducer that is a held-hand device that is placed on a part of a patient's body during blood flow measurement using the Doppler effect. It may include single or multiple element transducer configurations that convert electric voltages into an ultrasound beam reproducing movement and flow as sound, spectrum or colour. The Doppler effect is the phenomenon of oscillations from a pulsing movement (sound, light) registered as more or less, depending upon whether the observer moves toward or from the pulse point of departure. This generic device group includes ultrasound transducers used with Doppler, and colour Doppler (CD) scanning capabilities. This is a reusable device.
