Intended purpose

Safe collection, identification, storage, separation and transfusion of blood and blood components with minimum risk of microbiological contamination, interaction between the container and the contents, air embolism and proper identification of containers; maintain the quality of blood and blood components as high as necessary; to ensure functional compatibility when used in combination with a transfusion set.
