- GMDN category: Body femoral/tibial extension stem, uncoated
Intended purpose
A cemented femoral stem intended to be used with the following modular Pantheon salvage system reconstructions, • Pantheon Proximal Femur Replacement (PFR) for the reconstruction of the proximal femur in case of severe proximal femoral bone loss • Pantheon Distal Femoral Replacement (DFR) for the reconstruction of the distal femur in case of severe distal femoral bone loss, • Pantheon Proximal Tibial Replacement (PTR), for the reconstruction of the proximal tibia in case of severe proximal tibial bone loss in hip and knee revision surgery (due to infection, fracture, failed THA) or in case of bone tumor.
Functional description
Cemented femoral stem composed of Ti6Al4V alloy used to anchor the Pantheon Proximal Femoral Replacement (PFR), Pantheon Distal Femoral Replacement (DFR) or Pantheon Proximal Tibial Replacement (PTR) in the bone with bone cement. It connects either directly to the proximal or distal femur replacement, proximal tibia replacement or to a shaft/extension depending on the length of the resection.
