chronOS Vivify Preforms - Bone matrix implant, artificial

Intended purpose

chronOS Vivify implants should be used as bone void fillers or augmentation material in zones requiring cancellous rather than cortical bone. This includes the filling of bone defects in trauma, reconstruction or correction in non-load bearing indications only.

Functional description

chronOS implants are synthetic, porous, resorbable and biocompatible ceramics made of ?-tricalcium phosphate with a defined pore structure. chronOS implants are initially radiopaque. They are resorbed in vital bone and replaced by autologous bone. The implants are supplied in special perfusion pouches that allow for simple perfusion of the implant with bone marrow aspirate or blood.
