Intended purpose

A thin, non-implantable, single-use metal rod designed to guide the insertion of a cannulated orthopaedic implant (such as a screw) and/or a surgical instrument (such as a drill bit) into bone during an orthopaedic procedure. It is available in a variety of sizes, lengths, and designs.
