Intended purpose
The device is to be placed within a patient's mechanical ventialtion circuit and facilitates the delivery of aerosolised medications, the connection of humidification devices and the monitoring of gas concentration or pressure within the circuit. This is achieved without the need to remove the HME (Heat and Moisture Exchanger) or HCH (Hygroscopic Condenser Humidifier) from the circuit.
