Intended purpose

Flexible video bronchoscopes are used transiently (less than 60 minutes) via nose or mouth for observation via a video monitor to facilitate diagnosis and therapy of the airway and bronchial tree. They routinely have a working channel through which to insert auxiliary instruments.
