DLP Left Heart Vent Catheter - Cannula, arterial

Intended purpose

This catheter is intended for use in venting the left heart during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery up to six hours or less.

Functional description

The PVC Left Heart Vent consists of a flexible plastic tube with a perforated distal segment. A small tapered silicone tip is attached to the perforated end to aid in the insertion of the proximal end of the catheter across the mitral valve. Depth markings on the tube indicate insertion depth.
