Intended purpose

This re-usable device is an accessory for Carl Zeiss phaco systems. The Irrigation handpiece must be used in conjunction with an aspiration device and is indicated to allow balanced salt solution from the irrigation bottle to be delivered to the anterior segment of the eye. The Aspiration handpiece is indicated to allow the removal of residual cortical material after the removal of the cataract nucleus from the anterior ocular segment.
