Intended purpose

Used in occuloplastic surgery, including lacrimal procedures associated with the lacrimal sac and nasolacrimal duct. DCR (dacryocystorhinostomy) associated with the construction of new drainage channel from the lacrimal sac to nasal cavity and ptosis associated with the abnormal position of the eyelids, describing a droopy upper eyelid, which when severe may interfere with vision.
