Intended purpose

Capnography nasal prongs are used to monitor carbon dioxide (CO2) in the respiratory gases. Its main development has been as a monitoring tool for use during anaesthesia and/or sedational procedures. The nasal cannula allows for the measurement taken at the end of a breath (exhaling), often referred to as end-tidal CO2. It helps to ascertain the patients respiratory effort. Single use device.
