Intended purpose

The single-patient high-flow nasal cannula for adults is intended to deliver heated, humidified breathing gas with an increased O2 concentration at a flow exceeding the patient’s inspiratory flow to patients who benefit from receiving such breathing gas. The nasal cannula must only be used in medical environments in patients with spontaneous breathing.
