Intended purpose

The smart canula is designed for cannulation of the cardio-vascular system in conjunction with extracorporeal circulation.

Functional description

The venous smart canula is a disposable, wall-less canula, for less invasive canulation in conjunction with extracorporeal circulation. Due to the smart canula principle “collapsed canula insertion and expansion in situ”, superior blood flow by smaller access aperture with less trauma results can be achieved. The canula comes together with a mandrel, necessary for insertion. The device is single-use and delivered in sterile condition.
