Intended purpose
To guide dilation catheters to a lesion for percutaneous transluminal corinary angioplasty (PTCA) for the purpose of improving myocardial blood flow in a stenotic lesion in coronary vessels
Functional description
Runthrough is a spring type guidewire featuring a Ni-Ti core in the tip, providing good kink resistance with a Stainless Steel core in the shaft to provide good manuouverability. The coil tip is surface coated with a hydrophilic polymer affording moderate lubricity to provide less resistance and allow the wire to cross the lesion and reach peripheral sites more easily.
