Intended purpose
Used for catheter positioning and exchange in diagnostic and interventional procedures, exclusive of the coronary arteries.
Functional description
A nitinol wire guide with a tapered fixed core. The wire guides are coated with a hydrophilic coating to reduce friction during use. A distal platinum inner spring coil tip provides enhance visualisation during manipulation. The wire guides are available in a wide variety of lengths, shapes and diameters in order to access various locations within the body.
