Intended purpose
All Hi-Torque Guide Wires are intended to facilitate the placement of balloon dilatation chatheters during percutanous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA).
Functional description
A coiled wire that is designed to fit inside a percutaneous catheter for the purpose of positioning and moving the catheter through a blood vessel. It is made of stainless steel, is single-use, and has a Microglide hydrophobic coating.
