Intended purpose
HYBRID guidewires are indicated to facilitate the introduction and placement of diagnostic and therapeutic catheters.
Functional description
HYBRID guidewires have a nitinol distal core and a proximal section made of stainless steel. The proximal shaft section is coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).Proximal Stainless Steel: for torque, support and pushability. Distal Nitinol for extreme suppleness and navigability and no deformation of shape. For use in the intracranial and peripheral vasculatures.
