Intended purpose

For use in cardiac electrophysiological mapping (stimulation & recording) and, when used in conjunction with a radiofrequency generator, for cardiac ablation

Functional description

A multi-electrode luminal catheter with a deflectable tip used to facilitate electrophysiological mapping of the heart and to transmit radiofrequency current to the catheter tip electrode for ablation purposes. A saline port at the proximal end allows the injection of saline to irrigate the tip electrode.
