AlCath TC G - Cardiac radio-frequency ablation system catheter

Device Dossier for AlCath TC G - Cardiac radio-frequency ablation system catheter (Cardiac radio-frequency ablation system catheter, Class III, sponsor…

Intended purpose

The AlCath catheter is intended as a temporary, unidirectional steerable quadripolar catheter for intracardiac RF ablation as well as for sensing of intracardiac signals and diagnostic pacing. They are intended for treatment of supraventricular, ventricular and atrioventricular cardiac tachyarrhythmia and AV node reentry tachycardia.

Functional description

AlCath TC G are temporary, steerable, quadripolar ablation catheters for intracardiac application. Used for treatment of cardiac tachyarrhythmia by RF ablation therapy & for sensing of intracardiac signals. Can be connected to an ablation generator & an EP measuring station. A thermocouple integrated in the tip electrode facilitates permanent temperature control. AU electrode guarantees smallest possible transition resistances & excellent electrical and thermal properties.
