Intended purpose

A small connecting device that makes possible a mechanical union between a catheter and an external device by accommodating and/or adjusting their characteristics (e.g., diameter, thread), permitting catheter insertion and/or manipulation, and/or facilitating delivery or extraction of substances through the catheter lumen. This is a single-use device.
