Intended purpose
The Blazer Prime XP Ablation Catheter is indicated for interruption of accessory atrioventricular conduction pathways associated with tachycardia, for treatment of AV nodal reentrant tachycardia, for treatment of atrial flutter tachycardia, and for creation of complete AV block in patients with a rapid ventricular response to an atrial arrhythmia – typically chronic, drug refractory atrial fibrillation.
Functional description
The Blazer Prime XP Ablation Catheter is a quadripolar ring electrode catheter designed to allow for therapeutic ablation, intracardiac diagnostic recordings, & pacing capabilities. The catheter is available with an 8Fr diameter tip & 2 electrode tip lengths, 8mm and 10mm. There are 2 Electrode Tip configurations available: the Straight Tip & Valve Mapping Tip. The catheter connects to the Maestro 3000 Cardiac Ablation System or the EPT-1000XP/T Cardiac Ablation System.
