Intended purpose

The Swan-Ganz IQ™ catheter (model AIQSGF8) is a pulmonary artery catheter intended for short-term use in the central circulatory system for patients who require intracardiac hemodynamic monitoring, blood sampling and infusing solutions. Functional description

The Swan-Ganz IQ pulmonary arterial catheter is a flow-directed pulmonary artery catheter designed to enable the monitoring of hemodynamic pressures. When used with a compatible cardiac output computer, the Swan-Ganz IQ SvO2/VIP catheter allows for intermittent calculation and display of cardiac output and mixed venous oxygen saturation.
