Intended purpose

The Palindrome Precision chronic catheter is intended for acute and chronic hemodialysis,apheresis, and infusion. It may be inserted either percutaneously or by cutdown. Catheters greater than 40cm implant length are indicated for femoral insertion.

Functional description

The Palindrome Precision catheter (presented in a kit assembly) has a symmetric tip with marker band technology and laser cut side slots to increase tip visualization and reduce recirculation. With its internal lumen design and 14.5Fr diameter, it is able to deliver high flow rates. A radiopaque tungsten marker band allows the inserter to distinguish the functional tip of the catheter and visualise the placement of the tip into the right atrium using fluoroscopy and x-ray.
