Intended purpose

The GlidePath™ long-term hemodialysis catheters are indicated for use in attaining short-term or long-term vascular access for hemodialysis, hemoperfusion or apheresis therapy.

Functional description

The GlidePath long-term hemodialysis catheter is inserted via the internal jugular vein, external jugular vein, subclavian vein or femoral vein. It is inserted percutaneously using an introducer needle and guide wire which allows the catheter to be tracked through the vasculature to the desired location.
