Intended purpose
The Neuro Renegade Hi-Flo Microcatheter is intended for neurovascular use. The microcatheter can be coaxially tracked over a steerable guidewire in order to access distal, tortuous vasculature. Once the sub-selective region has been accessed, the microcatheter can be used for the controlled and selective infusion of diagnostic, embolic, or therapeutic materials into vessels.
Functional description
The catheter incorporates a taper in its outside diameter along its length from the 3F (1mm) stiff Proximal Shaft to the 2.8F (0.95mm) flexible Distal Shaft. The catheter can be used with a guidewire of maximum 0.46mm in diameter & is available in 135cm & 150cm lengths. The distal segment is coated with hydrophilic coating. A radiopaque marker at the distal tip facilitates fluoroscopic visualization. The proximal end incorporates a luer adapter to facilitate the attachment of accessories.
