Intended purpose
The Launcher guide catheter is intended to provide a pathway through which diagnostic or therapeutic devices are introduced during percutaneous procedures including interventions in coronary arteries (and SVG), non-intracranial carotid arteries, brachiocephalic arteries, pulmonary arteries, aorto- abdominal branches or peripheral arteries (subclavian arteries, upper extremity peripheral arteries, and infra-inguinal peripheral arteries).
Functional description
Launcher guide catheter has a lubricious inner lumen that runs from the proximal to the distal end. The lumen enables delivery of the catheter or interventional devices to target arteries. Stainless steel braided wires between the liner and outer jacket provide axial stiffness and kink resistance for ease of delivery. A radiopaque tungsten marker band provides clear visibility under fluoroscopy.
