Intended purpose

A flexible tube that is surgically inserted through the skull and brain to access and drain the cerebrospinal fluid-filled cavities of the brain (ventricles). This device is single use.

Functional description

The External Drainage Ventricular Catheters are designed for use as the proximal component for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drainage and/or monitoring from the lateral ventricles of the brain.
