Intended purpose

A flexible tube designed for insertion into the peritoneal cavity, right atrium of the heart, or other CSF diversion site. This device is a distal catheter, used in hydrocephalic shunts. This device is single use.

Functional description

The translucent Cardiac/Peritoneal, or distal catheters are designed as distal components of CSF-Flow control shunts for use in shunting cerebrospinal fluid from the ventricles of the brain to the peritoneal cavity or into the right atrium of the heart.
