INDY OTW Vascular Retriever - Catheter, snare

Intended purpose

Intended to manipulate or retrieve a foreign body within the central and peripheral circulatory systems by capturing the foreign body in wire loops.

Functional description

The retriever is inserted over-the-wire through a guiding catheter and advanced to the desired position. The inner catheter is advanced through the Flexor sheath until the snare emerges from the distal tip. The retriever is positioned so that the foreign body is caught within the snare. The Flexor sheath is slid forward to capture the foreign body, and the retriever is then withdrawn to a peripheral location where the foreign body is retrieved.
