Intended purpose

The intended purpose of the Amplatz Goose Neck MicroSnare kit is to retrieve and manipulate atraumatic foreign bodies in the coronary and peripheral cardiovascular system and extracranial neurovascular system during interventional and manipulation procedures.

Functional description

The Amplatz Goose Neck MicroSnare kit contains 1 MicroSnare, 1 microcatheter, 1 MicroSnare introducer, and 1 torque device. The MicroSnare is made from nitinol cable and a gold-plated tungsten loop. The preformed MicroSnare loop can be introduced through catheters without the risk of snare deformation because of the MicroSnare’s superelastic construction. The microcatheter contains a platinum-iridium, radiopaque marker band.
