PowerPICC - Catheterization kit, central venous

Intended purpose

Intended for short or long term peripheral access to the central venous system for intravenous therapy, power injection of contrast media and allows for central venous pressure monitoring. For blood sampling, infusion or therapy, use a 4 French or larger catheter. The maximum recommended infusion rate is 5ml/sec for power injection of contrast media. For central venous pressure monitoring, it is recommended that catheter lumen of 20 gauge or larger be used.

Functional description

Consists of polyurethane radiopaque peripherally inserted central catheter and internal stiffener stylet with kink resistant, reverse tapered design. Packed in a tray with accessories such as end cap, connector and statlock catheter stabilization device for reliable long (>30 days)or short (<30 days)term vascular access. MicroEZ micro introducer kit is designed for access of peripheral veins and usually consists of guidewire, introducer, micro introducer and scalpel.
