Intended purpose

Catheter kit indicated for short or long-term peripheral access to the central venous system for intravenous therapy, including but not limited to, the administration of fluids, medication and nutrients; the sampling of blood; and for power injection of contrast media.

Functional description

The kit is a radiopaque polyurethane catheter with Luer lock hub(s), polyurethane extension tube(s), suture wing. Single/Multi lumen catheter configurations. Lumens are differentiated by colored luer locks indicating lumen size, maximum injection flow rates, No CT (non-power injectable). Kit contains Xcela PASV PICC, Flush Assembly, Stiffening Wire, Catheter Securement Device, End Cap(s), Safety/Standard Introducer Needle(s), Scalpel, Syringe, Guidewire, Peelable Shealth/Dilator, Tape Measure.
